The Comprehensive Natural-Knee® Family

A Solution for Every Knee

The Natural-Knee Family is a complete range of interchangeable, anatomically-designed implants with over 14 years of proven clinical results¹.  The Natural-Knee design includes several innovative features not found in other systems, including:

  • a proprietary CSTiTM porous coating option for stable fixation in active patients
  • a unique bone-preserving posterior stabilizing design
  • a deepened trochlear groove to maximize range of motion
  • simple-to-use instrumentation

Proven in over 400,000 implantations, the Natural-Knee has a complete range of interchangeable, anatomically designed implants.  Published clinical results show tibial and femoral component survivorship to be over 99% at 10 to 14 years of followup.

The Natural-Knee Unicompartmental System

A conservative, cost-effective alternative to total knee replacement for patients with osteoarthritis primarily confined to one compartment.

In many cases, unicompartmental replacement is a viable alternative to total knee arthroplasty, allowing maximum preservation of bone stock, restoration of normal knee kinematics and a more rapid rehabilitation.

The Natural-Knee High Tibial Osteotomy System

Restores alignment.

Designed for young, active patients with varus and valgus deformities.   Precise instrumentation facilitates predictable, reproducible tibial wedge cuts, offering an alternative to free-hand methods.

The Natural-Knee Cruciate Retaining System

Deepened patellar groove maximizes range of motion and minimizes complications.

The Natural-Knee Posterior Stabilized System

Designed to improve stability in the absence of the posterior cruciate ligament, our innovative PS design reduces bone resection, simplifies revisions, and preserves bone.

The Natural-Knee Modular Cemented Baseplate

Made of cast cobalt chrome and designed to optimally address the issues and challenges of a cemented baseplate procedure.  The baseplate complements the existing family of baseplates and can be used with the primary, revision and CRK (constrained) femoral components as well as all Natural-Knee tibial insert configurations. The Natural-Knee Patella Femoral joint (PFJ) Replacement System

Targeted, Bone-Sparing Knee Arthroplasty

Provides targeted resurfacing of the femoral trochlear as an alternative to total knee arthroplasty for patients with arthrosis isolated to the patellofemoral compartment.  The low profile implant retains the bone stock required for subsequent primary total knee arthroplasty if necessary and articulates with the standard Natural-Knee patella.  Instrumentation ensures reproducible results.

The Natural-Knee Ultracongruent Posterior Stabilizing Tibial Insert

More flexibility, less sacrifice.

The Natural-Knee Ultracongruent Posterior Stabilizing Tibial Insert's performance characteristics and published long-term clinical results² demonstrate its viability as an alternative to traditional posterior stabilizing designs with distinct advantages.  The insert is compatible with the standard primary and revision femoral components and is available in Durasul® highly crosslinked polyethylene and SuleneTM compression molded polyethylene.

The Natural-Knee Revision System

Interchangeable and Bone Conserving.

The Natural-Knee Family includes a full complement of revision systems to restore function, enhance stability, and compensate for bone loss in revision arthroplasty patients.  System modularity and varying levels of constraint give surgeons introperative flexibility to suit a broad range of patient needs and preferences.

The Natural-Knee Constrained-Revision

Enhance Stability, Restore Kinematics

Intended for patients with correctable valgus-varus deformity and moderate flexion contracture.  The system can be used for both primary and revision procedures.

Durasul® and the Natural-Knee

A Great Combination

Durasul is now part of the Natural-Knee II System. This system is based on the successful design principles of the Natural-Knee, which has been used in over 350,000 patients worldwide with 15+ years of excellent clinical experience.

The Natural-Knee was one of the first knee implant systems designed to truly replicate the natural anatomy of the knee.

For example, the Natural-Knee features a unique “deepened trochlear groove” in the femoral component. This allows smooth movement of the patella (kneecap) through full range of motion, which reduces clicking, stress and wear.

Another unique feature is the Natural-Knee’s asymmetrical tibial baseplate, one of the first designs to truly replicate the natural asymmetrical shape of the human tibia. This asymmetric shape helps minimize the “pinching” often found in symmetrical baseplates and maximize the patient’s range of motion.

Now, with the introduction of Durasul, the Natural-Knee is fortified with improved resistance to aging and wear.
